Arrowhead Regional Corrections Appoints New Chief Probation Officer
Arrowhead Regional Corrections (ARC) is pleased to report that following a rigorous search and candidate selection process, Wally Kostich has been appointed to the position of Chief Probation Officer, for the Court and Field division.
The Chief Probation Officer position was vacated by Kay Arola when she was appointed to the position of Executive Director of the organization.
A native of the Iron Range, Wally brings over 24 years of corrections experience with Arrowhead Regional Corrections to this position. He is a 1981 graduate of Martin Hughes High School in Buhl, and attended Moorhead State University earning a criminal justice degree with a minor in sociology. Wally began his career as an intensive juvenile probation officer in 1987. He has served as a supervisor in ARC for the past 6 years, with experience supervising the Hibbing, Virginia and Koochiching County probation offices.
Arrowhead Regional Corrections provides probation services to adults and juveniles in Carlton, Cook, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis Counties.
