Working to Keep Our Roads Safe and Efficient
The Public Works Department works through roadway projects, maintenance of traffic control devices and other initiatives to constantly improve the safety and efficiency of the county road system.
St. Louis County is an active participant of the Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths initiative.
The Public Works Department is responsible for traffic signs, traffic signals, pavement markings and roadway lighting on county roads. The menu on the left provides additional information.
