Welcome to the Land Use Division! We are responsible for the administration and enforcement of land use regulations for county-administered areas through Subdivision Ordinance 60 and Zoning Ordinance 62. Additionally, the division administers the Floodplain Ordinance 43 and Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act for select areas of the county.

by calling or emailing us to discuss your project; we would be happy to walk
you through the process. It is encouraged to complete your land use permit application
and payment online so that applications can be processed more efficiently. If you need further assistance, walk-ins are welcome. To better serve the public, it is encouraged to schedule an appointment with us to discuss the proposed development of your property.
