SOLID WASTE
Our department provides a comprehensive solid waste management system for all outside of Duluth and surrounding townships. These are related to the safe removal of garbage and the opportunities to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Garbage Haulers require licensure to safely remove and promote recycling while county residents have a responsibility to safely remove hazards from their homes.

Information for Garbage Haulers
Anyone who collects or transports Solid Waste within the St. Louis County Solid Waste Management Area must have a license from the county. Direct questions to 218-471-7703.
