FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
St. Louis County Announces New Office Locations in Virgina, MN
for the County Recorder and the County Assessor
The Virginia, Minnesota locations of the St. Louis County Recorder’s Office and the County Assessor’s Office will be moving from their current spaces in the US Bank Building and the Virginia Courthouse to the Northland Office Center, 307 South First Street, Suite 2R, during the week of January 23rd. The telephone numbers for both office locations will remain the same.
The services provided by these two offices, such as property assessment, land titles, marriage licenses, and birth and death records, are scheduled to relocate throughout the week. Because of this, customers may experience some delays depending upon the moving schedule of the specific function. The move will be completed by the end of the week, with the full array of services available again on Monday, January 30th.
The relocation represents a concentrated effort by St. Louis County to eliminate all office space lease expenses by consolidating services into locations currently owned by the county. The Northland Office Center was purchased by the county in 2003 from the City of Virginia. This move will also create a convenient one-stop-shop opportunity for county residents. Marriage licenses and birth and death records services provided by the Recorder’s Office in the Hibbing Courthouse will remain uninterrupted during the move.
