Housing Support (formerly known as Group Residential Housing) pays for room and board for seniors and adults with disabilities who have low incomes. It also pays for supplemental services in eligible settings to support an individual’s ability to maintain housing. Housing Support recipients may live in group settings (i.e., board and lodges) or community-based settings like long-term homeless (LTH) supportive housing.
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) and St. Louis County Public Health and Human Services have requirements that housing providers must follow in order to become an eligible provider. DHS also determines a person’s eligibility to receive Housing Support.
