Major safety improvements are planned on Arrowhead Road between U.S. Highway 53 and Haines Road, including the addition of a frontage road, sidewalk and traffic signal. Also, the road will be resurfaced.

Public Works is chip sealing and scrub sealing a number of roads county wide to lengthen the roads' life span. Motorists are reminded to slow down and increase the distance between vehicles to minimize the chance of damage while small rocks  are compacted.

Good news for the businesses along 4th Street in Duluth! The road will re-open between 6th and 14th Avenues East by June 30, after being closed for extensive construction parts of the last two years.

The County has launched an app that will make it easier for volunteers to choose a segment of road to "adopt". New signage will also give more credit to the groups or individuals who pick up litter along county roads.

A public meeting is set for Thursday, June 15, to talk about current stormwater pollution prevention efforts, and to get input from citizens on any suggestions they may have.
