Registration and Solicitations

 
 

St. Louis County is interested in fostering participation by all qualified business persons offering commodities and services that may be used by the county. 

Solicitation is a process used to communicate procurement requirements and to request responses from interested contractors/vendors.

Solicitations are defined as either formal or informal. 

  • Formal solicitation means a solicitation which requires a sealed response.
  • Informal solicitation means a solicitation which does not require a sealed response.

Purchasing Division

Suppliers are encouraged to register with the St. Louis County Purchasing Division for public solicitations. Registration will assist the Purchasing team in connecting suppliers to upcoming solicitations.

A registration with the Purchasing Division will remain valid for one year from the date of submission.

DemandStar 

St. Louis County Purchasing Division utilizes DemandStar, a web-based system for public solicitations, to provide current information to potential suppliers on our more formal solicitations.

After registering with DemandStar, suppliers will have greater access to bid opportunities, immediate access to download documents, receive prompt notifications of addenda, bid electronically (e-bid), and have access to a real-time information 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

Suppliers who are registered with DemandStar are encouraged to update their information through DemandStar, as St. Louis County does not have access to update this information on their behalf.

  • The DemandStar FREE Agency subscription includes notifications and free document downloads for a single agency (St. Louis County MN - Purchasing Division). All other agencies' documents cost a flat fee of $ 5.00.
