St. Louis County is interested in fostering participation by all qualified business persons offering commodities and services that may be used by the county.
Solicitation is a process used to communicate procurement requirements and to request responses from interested contractors/vendors.
Solicitations are defined as either formal or informal.
- Formal solicitation means a solicitation which requires a sealed response.
- Informal solicitation means a solicitation which does not require a sealed response.
The Purchasing Division currently solicits and posts Request(s) for Bids, Information, Proposals, and Qualifications opportunities through DemandStar. All Request for Quotes are issued directly.
Contractors/Vendors are encouraged to register with the St. Louis County Purchasing Division. Registration will assist the Purchasing team in connecting contractors/vendors to upcoming formal and informal solicitations.
St. Louis County Purchasing Division has instituted the DemandStar system to provide current information to potential contractors/vendors and consultants, as well as the general public.
After registering with DemandStar Contractors/vendors will have greater access to bid opportunities, immediate access to download documents, recieve prompt notifications of addenda, bid electronically (e-bid), and have access to a real-time information 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
