On September 6th, 2018, at approximately 7:53 PM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office along with Crane Lake 1st Responders, Orr Fire and Ambulance Service, and Life Link Air Medical Service responded to Handberg's Marine at 7123 Handberg Rd. in Crane Lake, MN for a boat accident with injuries.  

On September 6th, 2018, at approximately 7:29 PM the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office along with the Chisholm Police Department, MN State Patrol, Chisholm Fire and Ambulance Service, and North Memorial Air Care responded to the 5500 block of McNiven Rd. in Chisholm, MN in Balkan Township for a motorcycle accident with injuries. 

Eight new deputies and 14 corrections officers will take to serve. The ceremony also will include recognition of other new staff, recent promotions and awards for outstanding service.

The teen had been swimming with friends when he disappeared under the water. The St. Louis County Rescue Squad located him about 20 minutes later and began life saving measures, but were unable to revive him.

A 17-year-old male injured his leg in an accident on his family's property. The boy had been attempting to drive up a hill when the ATV overturned.
