A 77-year-old man who'd been missing for several days, was found deceased near his canoe in the lake. The incident remains under investigation, but foul play is not suspected.

St. Louis County Public Health and Human Services has hired Dusty Letica to lead its Financial Assistance Division. Letica, of Duluth, previously worked in various roles in that division for nearly 10 years.

A power line knocked over by someone cutting down trees sparked a fire that burned a garage and many items stored in it. Thankfully no one injured. 

The new website will debut Thursday evening with a new design and improved search function to make it easier for people to find the information they need. The new site is mobile friendly, adapting to a range of screen sizes from smart phones to desktop monitors.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim that was struck by the Canadian National Train on June 5, 2018, as Charles Wayne Lightfeather, age 34, of Isanti, Minnesota.
