The houses were popular. So were two lots with frontage on Lake Superior. Today's St. Louis County Tax Forfeited Properties Auction resulted in 33 sales, for a total of $855,935. Among those sales: nine homes were purchased in seven different communities, including Duluth, Hibbing, Ely and Virginia.

The St. Louis County Veterans Service Office in Duluth is moving to a new location. Beginning Monday, June 25, the Veterans Service Office will open in the Village Mall Office Building, 4815 Burning Tree Road, Suite 100, in Duluth. 

St. Louis County leaders will break ground Wednesday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m. for a new Public Works Maintenance Facility in Cook. The groundbreaking will take place at 9558 Ashawa Road, which previously was the site of Disability Associates. 

Artists from CHOICE, unlimited have created a mural depicting a Lake Superior scene, and will donate it to St. Louis County during the County Board meeting on June 12, at 9:30 a.m. More than a dozen artists of all skill levels worked on the painting, and many of them will be on hand to present the painting.

On June 9, 2018, at approx. 4:41 AM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office received a report of a semi truck rolled over on the Parkville Rd. in the City of Mt. Iron.
