St. Louis County has filed a civil lawsuit against several drug companies, alleging unfair, deceptive and fraudulent marketing of opioids. The county is seeking damages to fund treatment, social services and law enforcement costs associated with the opioid epidemic, as well as education and training.

A 55-year-old Orr man has been arrested for aggravated robbery. He is accused of using pepper spray on two bank employees during the robbery at the American Bank in Orr.

The forum is March 19, and is free and open to the public. It will include information about opioids, training on use of Naloxone (Narcan) to help someone who is overdosing, and a chance to safely dispose of unused medication.

The accident happened on the Taconite Snowmobile Trail near Britt. Neither man's injuries are considered life threatening, though one had to be airlifted for medical treatment.

A concerned citizen reported what was thought to be a plane crash in the Canyon area. Thankfully, following an extensive search and checks with all local airports, no plane was found, nor has any been reported missing.
