The role of Public Health nurses and educators is continually changing as they identify needs and work to help both individuals one-on-one, and larger groups to create community- or system-wide change.

The federal Omnibus Spending Bill includes $4 million in funding to address the issue of State School Trust Lands located in the BWCA, setting in motion the hybrid land purchase/exchange plan. 

The County Board approved a rule change that will give extra protection for anyone buying a parcel of land that has been subdivided, to make sure the land can be used as intended. Planning and Community Development staff will now review all parcel creations and splits prior to the Auditor's Office recording the change.
