No one was home at the time of the fire, which is believed to have started in an outside wood stove and then spread. The home is considered a complete loss.

The work to rebuild 4th Street means the road will be closed from 10th to 19th Avenues East. Additional work will take place from 6th to 10th Avenues East, though that portion of the road will remain open.
