Male hospitalized after being ejected from his boat

Tower and Breitung area first responders and law enforcement were dispatched to the report of a male being thrown from his boat on Lake Vermillion earlier today. The reporting party called 911 to report that the male was back in the boat however, he had sustained a severe injury to his hand and they were now en-route to Stuntz Bay Landing to meet first responder’s.

Homeowners behind on mortgage payments encouraged to apply for HomeHelpMN assistance

St. Louis County is encouraging residents to look to HomeHelpMN.org if they have fallen behind on mortgage payments or other housing-related expenses due to the pandemic. HomeHelpMN is offered through Minnesota Housing. The deadline to apply for assistance is June 17, though early application is encouraged as funding may run out.
