Spring load restrictions have been announced for the North-Central and North frost zones of Minnesota. Restrictions will go into effect on Monday, March 8, 2021, at 12:01 a.m. These two zones include all county highways in St. Louis County.

St. Louis County Public Works and the City of Duluth are working together on a project to reconstruct Morris Thomas Road (County State Aid Highway 56) between Haines Road and Piedmont Avenue. The work is needed due to aging underground utilities and deteriorating pavement, curbs and gutters.
