On November 27, 2025 at approximately 12:30 PM St. Louis County deputies and Rescue Squad members responded to the report of a 55-year-old male who had gotten his snowmobile stuck in a swamp, approximately 5 miles northwest of Meadowlands.

A 69-year-old man died after being struck by a falling tree while snowblowing his driveway in Alden Township.

On Thursday Nov 20th, 2025, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Ontario Provincial Police requesting assistance in searching an area of Lake Lac La Croix near the Canadian/US border. Canadian Officials from OPP, Treaty Three Police, and Community Members from the village of Lac La Croix have been searching for an overdue member of their community, Peter Buckle age 47, who was utilizing his cabin on the Canadian side of the lake.

On 11/24/2025, at approximately 6:45pm, emergency responders from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Rescue Squad, Lakewood Fire Department, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance were dispatched to the intersection of Jean Duluth Road and Lismore Road in Lakewood Township for the report of a two-vehicle crash.
