On Monday, November 10th, 2025, at approximately 7:10 P.M. the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and area rescue personnel were notified of a lost hunter in unorganized township 62R-17, which is several miles East of the City of Cook, MN.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office has become aware of a number of scam calls in our area.  The caller claims to be a member of law enforcement, in a number of instances, particularly the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and demands monetary payment for various reasons such as failing to appear for witness testimony or missed court dates.  These calls are not legitimate.
