On March 1, 2021 members of the LSDVCTF arrested Lloyd Stevens in the City of Virginia after a federal warrant was issued for his arrest. The federal warrant was the result of several search warrants conducted by the LSDVCTF/Virginia Police Department on Stevens in October/December 2020 and January 2021. Stevens was arrested for possession of firearms and a large quantity of methamphetamine during those search warrants.

Caregivers to people with complex medical needs are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Eligible caregivers may be paid or unpaid for their services. Paid caregivers who are eligible include personal care assistants (PCAs) and direct support professionals (DSPs), including those working on waivers and those working in home and community-based services. 

On the above date and time, St. Louis County 911 was notified of an off-road vehicle personal injury accident 1/2 mile north of the public access boat landing on Boulder Lake. It was determined a side-by-side UTV flipped due to an equipment failure while driving on the frozen lake, and two juvenile males were injured. 

More than 63% of St. Louis County residents age 65 and older have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and doses are available for individuals in this age group. To ensure no seniors are being overlooked due to inability to register online, St. Louis County Public Health has launched a new phone line to assist seniors with scheduling an appointment.

Spring load restrictions have been announced for the North-Central and North frost zones of  Minnesota. Restrictions will go into effect on Monday, March 8, 2021, at 12:01 a.m. These two zones include all county highways in St. Louis County.
