The St. Louis County Auditor's Office  will begin offering in-person service for people making property tax payments inside the St. Louis County Courthouse in Duluth and the Government Services Center in Virginia, starting Monday, April 5. Hours of service will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A significant increase in confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ely has St. Louis County Public Health offering reminders to people about the importance of testing and quarantining to prevent further community transmission.

St. Louis County has completed distribution of $3.84 million in funds from the Minnesota Legislature to assist small businesses throughout the county. A total of 749 eligible businesses and non-profits received funding through the county's Phase 3 Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grants.

Staff from 4-H and the Depot have teamed up to offer a series of behind-the-scenes virtual tours and learning opportunities geared for students in grades 5-8. The hour-long sessions are free and offered via Zoom each of the next three Thursdays.  People can register through the University of Minnesota Extension website.

A 57 year old male died after his vehicle left the roadway and rolled over into the ditch near the 3800 block of the Canosia Road. Poor weather and road conditions likely contributed to the crash.
