Incident Summary: On 3/25/23, at approximately 3:00 PM, first responders were dispatched to the Ash River Trail Resort related to a report of a patient who had been involved in a snowmobile accident.

Three people were injured when a school bus failed to stop at an intersection causing a collision with a pick up truck. The accident happened in White Township, involving a bus carrying students to Mesabi East High School.

The St. Louis County Auditor's Service Center will fully reopen Friday in its usual location at the Miller Hill Mall. Service Center staff have been operating from a temporary location in the Courthouse in Duluth since March 15, following the collapse of a portion of the roof at the mall. 

 

Spring load restrictions have been announced for the North-Central and North frost zones of Minnesota. Restrictions will go into effect on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 12:01 a.m. These two zones include all county highways in St. Louis County.

The accident happened on Crane Lake. The woman was air lifted to a Duluth hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
