To help property owners affected by this spring's wildfires, the St. Louis County Board has voted to temporarily waive the fees associated with land use and septic permits for those trying to rebuild. The waiving of permit fees is valid through January 4, 2026, and is for the replacement of structures lost and for addressing failing septic systems within the disaster area.

ROBERT CHARLES TURNER, DOB 11/29/1990, will be moving to an address in the 7400 block of New Independence Township, approximately 18 miles North of Duluth. Offenders who are designated as Level Three are subject to community notification upon changing addresses.

St. Louis County Environmental Services is opening a temporary solid waste collection site in the Brimson area to make it easier for people to dispose of materials damaged by recent wildfires. The collection site will be at the old County garage, 3115 Highway 44 in Brimson. Beginning Monday, July 7, the site will operate Monday-Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is expected to be open through the end of July, though may remain open longer if needed. This site is for wildfire debris only. People not affected by the wildfires should not bring garbage to this location.
