Important information related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
The St. Louis County Planning & Community Development Department currently is not able to provide walk up service due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As always, you are able to complete your applications online or submit them in the mail. You are encouraged to call or email staff if you need any assistance. In addition, drop boxes are available for people to leave paperwork and payments at any time at the Hibbing Annex building and the Government Services Centers located in Duluth, Virginia and Ely.
Furthermore, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all public hearings and meetings for the following will be conducted virtually by telephone or other electronic means until further notice:
• Planning Commission
• Board of Adjustment
• Land use
• On-site wastewater
• Community development
All meetings of the St. Louis County Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment are closed to public attendance until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the declared emergency. Meetings will now be held in a virtual format. All meetings will be live streamed via WebEx, giving the public the opportunity to watch and listen, and even speak.
