Spring road restrictions for highways in the North-Central Zone, which includes the southwest corner of the County, will go into effect Monday, March 6. Restrictions for roads in the North Zone, which includes the vast majority of St. Louis County, have not been announced.

Ribbon cutting set for A.P. Cook Building

St. Louis County will celebrate the completion of the A.P. Cook Building on Wednesday. The nearly 90 year old building originally served as a laundry facility, but now has been fully renovated into office space for County Extension services, the Assessor's Office, and the Safety and Risk Management Division.

An Eveleth man was rescued after his snowmobile broke through the ice on the Oak Narrows portion of Lake Vermilion. It was the second incident in a week involving vehicles breaking through thin ice.
