It's Severe Weather Awareness Week, and while thankfully no severe storms are forecast for our region in the near future, an important weather-connected milestone is happening right now at the St. Louis County Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

How does high potency cannabis affect brain development in teenagers? That is the topic of free forum being offered through a partnership of St. Louis County Public Health and Lincoln Park Middle School in Duluth. The event will be held Wednesday, April 9, at Lincoln Park Middle School. A resource fair and light meal with live music will be provided from 5:30-6 p.m., followed by a presentation at 6:15 entitled "Be Extraordinary, Be You."

After several years of postponements, the federal REAL ID requirement will go into effect May 7, 2025. This means any Minnesotan planning to fly on a domestic flight or enter a federal building will need a Minnesota REAL ID driver's license or identification card, Minnesota Enhanced driver's license or identification card, or some other federally approved form of identification such as a passport, or a photo ID issued by a federally recognized Tribal Nation.
