St. Louis County reflects on 2025 legislative session

Following the Minnesota Legislature's passage of multiple major bills during the special session that wrapped up early Tuesday morning, St. Louis County leaders reflected on the wins and losses of the session and issued this statement. During Tuesday's County Board meeting, commissioners noted their appreciation for the local delegation for their hard work and advocacy on behalf of the citizens of St. Louis County, recognizing these are challenging times with competing priorities.

ATV Crash near Hoyt Lakes

On June 9th, 2025, at 1622 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the Northern Pines Hospital, in Aurora, in regards to a reported ATV crash that had occurred East of Hoyt Lakes, on a local ATV trail.  The driver of the ATV was brought to the hospital by private vehicle.

With evacuation orders lifted and more and more property owners are working to figure out next steps, St. Louis County Environmental Services is advising affected home and cabin owners to wait a little longer before hauling any fire-damaged debris.
