The accident happened on Eshquaguma Road, south of Biwabik. A 21-year-old Chisholm man had been found next to the ATV he had been riding and had sustained injuries to his head and a leg.

In-person property tax payments now available in Hibbing

With the May 15 property tax payment due date coming soon, the St. Louis County Auditor's and Recorder's offices have partnered to offer a new in-person payment option for property owners in the Hibbing area. In-person tax payments can now be made at the Hibbing Courthouse at the Recorder’s Office service window, 1810 12th Avenue East, Room 100, in Hibbing.

St. Louis County Board presents Public Health Achievement Award

"It starts with us" is the theme of National Public Health Week this year. It's a fitting reminder that that public health practice at any level starts locally as it focuses on goals including preventing disease and injury, promoting healthy communities, and protecting against health threats.  On Tuesday, the St. Louis County Board recognized four local individuals for their work to improve health in our region. Honorees this year include Dr. Jan Baldwin, Christina Trok, Mel Alvar, and Nathan Kesti.
