Gardening tips for growing everything from blueberries to asparagus will be covered in the 2017 Spring Garden Extravaganza. The seminar will be in Floodwood, and is presented by St. Louis County Extension.

A 50-year-old Ely man was found unresponsive in his jail cell in Virginia. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. The medical examiner is working to determine the man's cause of death, but foul play is not suspected.

The first accident occurred Friday night, injuring a 20-year-old Eveleth man, who had to be airlifted to a Duluth hospital for treatment. Then, on Saturday, a 22-year-old Duluth man was injured in a crash on Fish Lake. In both instances, alcohol and speed were factors.

Sheriff's Investigators are wanting to speak to the man driving a light gray or green sedan in the Alborn area, and is asking the public's help in finding him. The man allegedly pulled into a driveway where two children were waiting for a school bus and offered them a ride.
