St. Louis County hires Carl Crawford for new Equity and Inclusion role

St. Louis County has hired Carl Crawford to serve in its newly created position of Equity and Inclusion Specialist. In this role, Crawford will be responsible for strategic planning, organizational outreach, and engagement activities designed to enhance the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts of St. Louis County. The position will have both an internal and external focus - providing support to staff while also ensuring equitable service delivery to residents.

Temporary load restrictions announced for four St. Louis County roads

St. Louis County Public Works has announced temporary load restrictions effective end of day on Friday, February 23 on four gravel roads in the southeastern portion of the county due to deteriorating conditions in this unseasonably warm weather. Vehicles traveling on the following roads will be limited to five tons per axle: Fox Farm Road,  Two Harbors Road, App Road, West Knife River Road (gravel portion).

On February 22nd, 2023 at approximately 1109 pm, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the 7400 block of Lax Road which is located in Pike Township, northeast of the city of Virginia, due to a reported ATV accident in which the driver was found pinned under the ATV, in the ditch.
