ATV accident with injuries

On February 22nd, 2023 at approximately 1109 pm, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the 7400 block of Lax Road which is located in Pike Township, northeast of the city of Virginia, due to a reported ATV accident in which the driver was found pinned under the ATV, in the ditch.

Single vehicle rollover injury crash

On February 13th, 2024 at approximately 2:45 P.M.  Saint Louis County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover crash that occurred in the 6400 Block of Hwy 21 in Pike Township.  22 year old Emily Marie SCHNACKY from Babbitt, Mn. was traveling eastbound on Hwy 21 in a Chevrolet Cobalt when her vehicle left the roadway and rolled over in the westbound ditch.  SCHNACKY was transported by North Memorial Air Care to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth in critical condition.
