St. Louis County Board seeks proposals for Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention

St. Louis County is looking for ideas on how to prevent the introduction or limit the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) in lakes, rivers and other bodies of water. The County is scheduled to receive $708,865 in grant money to award in 2026 through the state's AIS Prevention Aid Program.

Midway Road Corridor Study- next meeting set

St. Louis County Public Works is studying the two-mile segment of Midway Road between Highway 194 in Hermantown and North Pike Lake Road in Canosia Township, along with a short segment of Martin Road that connects to it. This corridor has a variety of safety concerns including a high density of access points and additional intersections with frontage roads, an aging traffic signal, lack of accommodations for pedestrians and bicyclists along a road that is heavily traveled by large vehicles, and other issues.
