Jason Meyer has been chosen as the new Director of St. Louis County’s Land & Minerals Department. Meyer has worked for St. Louis County since 1995, beginning as a Forestry Technician Trainee before being promoted to a variety of roles. He most recently served as the department's Deputy Director.

With Veterans Day coming up, the St. Louis County Board and Veterans Service Office are encouraging residents and businesses to shine a green light as a show of support for people who serve or have served in our nation's military. Whether it be a single green light bulb or a string of green lights, people are asked to display them November 4-11, the week leading up to Veterans Day.

Community Connect is an event designed for people experiencing homelessness or economic hardship. It serves as a one-stop-shop, providing a variety of free services for people who are struggling economically, and to help connect them with resources available from agencies and non-profits in the community.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that JEFFREY PAUL DERIDER, a Level 3 Sex Offender, is moving to Rice Lake.

The accident happened on Biss Road near Side Lake. The driver of one pickup truck crossed over the center line hitting an oncoming pickup truck. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
