On 5/15/2026, at about 7:39 PM, deputies responded to the intersection of Comstock Lake Rd. and Mink Rd in Cotton on a report of a three-wheeled motorcycle that had crashed. The driver, a 52-year-old male from Cotton was found on the ground with a head injury.

With eight wildfires currently burning in St. Louis County, the County has activated its Emergency Operations Center to ensure a coordinated response and shared information on the existing fires, and due to concerns of additional fires that could start during the extreme fire risk conditions.
