Andrew Bearden Williams was sentenced to two concurrent sentences of 234 months and 360 months in prison for the sexual assaults of a minor in Duluth between August 1, 2020, and October 31, 2020. The County Attorney’s Office credits the success in this case to the bravery of the victim in her testimony before the Grand Jury and the exceptional work of the Duluth Police Department for their thorough and tireless investigation of this case. The case was prosecuted by Assistant St. Louis County Attorney Michael Hagley and Deputy County Attorney Jon Holets.
St. Louis County Attorney Kim Maki has appointed Dr. Timothy Myles to serve as the Director of Victim/Witness and Community Outreach. In this role, Dr. Myles will oversee victim/witness staff in the four county attorney office locations and will be responsible for developing and implementing an external communications plan, enhancing outreach to underserved populations, and engaging with community partners.
The St. Louis County Veterans Service Office has a new director. The County Board on Tuesday approved the appointment of Nadine Wells to lead the Veterans Service Office. Wells has worked as a Veterans Service Officer for St. Louis County since 2017. She served in the United States Army for 10 years, rising to the rank of Administrative Sergeant; and also worked as a civilian contractor in a Military Family Assistant Specialist role for five years.
