Williams-Gillard Sentenced for Role in Duluth Homicide

On April 16, 2024, the Hon. Eric L. Hylden sentenced Brandon Capone Williams-Gillard, 25, to 480 months for his conviction of Aiding and Abetting Intentional Second-Degree Murder. Williams-Gillard received additional concurrent sentences of 71 months for his conviction of Aiding and Abetting Second Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and 132 months for his conviction for Drive by Shooting. The 480-month sentence is the maximum sentence allowed under law for the Murder conviction.

Prescription drug turn-in events set for April 27

Virginia and Hibbing Sheriff's Offices

Saturday, April 27, is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, an opportunity for people to safely dispose of unused or expired medications. Drop boxes will be staffed and available for take-back events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the St. Louis County Sheriff's offices in Virginia and Hibbing. Medications to be disposed of should be brought in in their original containers with any personal identifying information crossed off.
