On October 29, 2025, at approximately 12:17PM, members of the Lake Superior Violent Offenders Task Force, St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Hibbing Police Department, US Border Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration, Internal Revenue Service, Enforcement Removal Operations and Homeland Security Investigations executed a narcotics search warrant in the 1800 block of 3^rd Avenue East Hibbing. 

St. Louis County Public Works engineers have completed design work to reconstruct the County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 100 corridor in Aurora and will hold an open house to present final design plans to the public. The meeting will be Thursday, November 13, from 5-7 p.m. at the Aurora Community Center, 15 West 1st Avenue North. 

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office has become aware of a number of scam calls in our area.  The caller claims to be a member of law enforcement, in a number of instances, particularly the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and demands monetary payment for various reasons such as failing to appear for witness testimony or missed court dates.  These calls are not legitimate.

On October 18, 2025 at approximately 5:20 PM, first responders and law-enforcement were dispatched to the report of a single vehicle personal injury accident, in the 4800 block of Highway 100, located south of Aurora.
