St. Louis County Social Worker Andrea Larson has been recognized by the Minnesota Indian Child Welfare (ICWA) Advisory Council with its first ever Social Worker Award. The ICWA Advisory Council created the award as a way to also acknowledge the good work that is happening in ICWA here in Minnesota.

Two car crash 5000 block of Rice Lake Road

On January 26, 2019, at approximately 6:00 p.m., St. Louis County Deputies responded to the 5000 block of Rice Lake Road for a report of a two vehicle crash. When deputies arrived, they learned that a truck being operated by a 30 year old Duluth man was traveling North on Rice Lake Road when he crossed over the center line colliding, nearly head on, with a Toyota Prius that was occupied by a 19 year old male from Cross Lake, Minnesota and a 21 year old female from Woodbury, Minnesota.

On January 23, 2019, Daniel Gregory Lynn pleaded guilty to the crime of Second Degree Murder (unintentional while committing a felony assault) of Christina Marie Woods at the St. Louis County courthouse in Virginia, St. Louis County attorney Mark Rubin said.
