Public meeting set regarding bridge reconstruction project over French River

The 98-year-old bridge where North Shore Scenic Drive (County State Aid Highway 61) crosses the French River, is scheduled for reconstruction in 2020. An open house to discuss the project and answer questions will be held Thursday, April 4, 6-8 p.m., at French River Lutheran Church, 5310 Ryan Road.

City of Rice Lake Fire

City of Rice Lake Fire

On 3/19/2019 at 1735 hours there was  a 911 call reporting a house fire on the 5100 Block of Gortin Rd in the City of Rice Lake.  There was significant damage to the residence from the fire.  The fire is being investigated by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and Rice Lake Fire Department.  Foul play is not suspected. There were no injuries to any parties.

St. Louis County's largest department - Public Health and Human Services - has restructured its Adult Services Division to better address and serve today's needs of county citizens. Adult Services, which assists approximately 10,000 people each year, will now have two divisions: Home and Community Based Services, and Behavioral Health.
