On July 27th, 2019 at approximately 21:45 hours, St. Louis County Deputies were dispatched to a single ATV crash in the 4600 Block of Caribou Lake Road in Solway Township.  Upon arrival, the driver was found unconscious, but breathing.  The male was not wearing a helmet.  Medical personnel treated the male on scene, and he regained consciousness.  The male was air lifted to St. Luke's, and appeared to be in stable condition at that time.  It is unknown exactly the cause of the crash, alcohol is not suspected to be involved.  The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office would like to remind recreational vehicle riders to always ride within their ability, and to always wear a helmet.

On 07/24/2019, at approximately 9:21 P.M. the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office along with the MN State Patrol, Kabetogama Fire & 1st Responders, International Falls Ambulance and North Memorial Air Medical responded to a motorcycle accident with injuries in the 11000 block of the Ash River Trail near the Mead Wood Rd. (Entrance to the Ash River Visitor Center). The lone male driver was entering into a left hand curve in the roadway, when the motorcycle drove off road right.  The driver was treated at the scene by Kabetogama 1st Responders and International Falls Ambulance Service. 

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and White Township are partnering to host a National Night Out party on Tuesday, August 6, at the Loon Lake Community Center, 3816 Highway 100, Aurora. A variety of activities for all ages are planned from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The event is free and all are welcome to attend from White Township and surrounding communities.

On 7/22/19 at approximately 11:32 AM St. Louis County Deputies received a report of a personal injury accident involving and side by side ATV and a passenger car. The male operator of the ATV had rolled the machine and the ATV struck the passenger car. St. Louis County Deputies and Babbitt Police responded to the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident and alcohol was a contributing factor.
