St. Louis County finalizing details for next phase of COVID relief grants for small businesses

St. Louis County is preparing to launch a third round of COVID relief assistance for small businesses and eligible non-profits hurt by the pandemic. The application period is expected to begin in mid-January for Phase 3 of St. Louis County Small Business Relief Grants. This latest round of grants will use funds provided by the State of Minnesota, and offers more flexibility than previous CARES-funded grants.

St. Louis County Public Health begins administering COVID-19 vaccines

St. Louis County Public Health has begun administering COVID-19 vaccines. The County received its first shipment of the Moderna vaccine last Wednesday and has vaccinated approximately 150 people in two days of vaccination clinics. St. Louis County is following the priority target groups identified by the federal and state public health systems, offering the vaccine to paramedics, advanced emergency medical technicians, emergency medical technicians and emergency medical responders. It's estimated there are approximately 700 individuals working in these categories in St. Louis County. Public Health nurses are also vaccinating those responsible for administering vaccinations.
