Luis Antonio Villafana, 29, was sentenced to to 153 months in prison for one count of Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for Sexual Contact with a Minor Under 14 and three counts of Dissemination of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

Investigators have issued a renewed call for help finding Jeremy James Lawrence, who has been missing since August 2023. With hunting season underway, hunters are asked to look for signs of Jeremy or his missing ATV. The family is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to his whereabouts.

On October 5, before the Honorable Judge Robert Friday, Angela Lynn Cerney, 42, pleaded guilty to First-Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, announced St. Louis County Attorney Kim Maki.

On October 5th, 2026 at 2249 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Hermantown Police Department, Canosia Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance and St. Louis County Rescue Squad were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Lavaque Bypass near Samuelson Road. It was reported that one of the vehicles, a truck, had rolled and was on its roof. 

On October 5th, 2026 at 2051 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, along with the Fredenberg Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance and St. Louis County Rescue Squad were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover in the 4800 block of West Pioneer Road in Fredenberg Township.
