Two free public meetings are scheduled for parents, caregivers and teachers of children with autism. The topic is the range of extra conditions - such as anxiety, sleep disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder - that often accompany autism.

St. Louis County distributed nearly $1.9 million in CDBG funds during fiscal year 2017 for projects in four categories: housing, community facilities and public infrastructure, economic development, and public services. County receives $675,000 grant for new opioid treatment/recovery efforts

St. Louis County has received $675,000, which will be used to fund two new opioid withdrawal treatment programs through the Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment, plus to purchase naloxone kits for use in rural communities and other targeted groups.

Sheriffs' Association offers scholarships for law enforcement students

Sheriff Ross Litman is encouraging area law enforcement students to apply for one of 15 scholarships worth $600, offered by the MN Sheriffs' Association. In the last four years, five area students have won these scholarships.
