Assist Canadian Authorities with Search for Missing Male

On Thursday Nov 20th, 2025, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Ontario Provincial Police requesting assistance in searching an area of Lake Lac La Croix near the Canadian/US border. Canadian Officials from OPP, Treaty Three Police, and Community Members from the village of Lac La Croix have been searching for an overdue member of their community, Peter Buckle age 47, who was utilizing his cabin on the Canadian side of the lake. Searches by Canadian authorities had located Buckle's boat and a campsite on Island 25 just over the Canadian border in US waters after checking his cabin and were unable to locate him.

Structure Fire in Alborn Township

On November 22nd, 2025 at 0224 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a structure fire in the 8600 block of Ostman Road in Alborn Township. It was reported that a shed was engulfed in flames and the flames were spreading to the tree line nearby.
