Saginaw business damaged by fire

On June 15, 2021 at approximately 1430 hours, The St Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to 8089 Highway 2 in Saginaw for a report of a business on fire.

Initial cause of the fire is unknown. The owner of the property was uncooperative and the incident remains under investigation by the Cloquet Fire Marshal. No one was injured and the total damage is unknown at this time.

St. Louis County Public Health will be offering COVID-19 vaccinations at the Mount Royal Library on Wednesday, June 16, from 3-6 p.m. The vaccines are free of charge. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be served based on vaccine availability. Timothy Alan Scott Davich has moved into Angora Township on June 7, 2021.  He is a Level Three offender.

Online Tax Forfeited Land Auction results in $903,000 in sales

St. Louis County's latest online auction of newly offered tax forfeited properties has closed with 29 properties sold back into private ownership for a total of $903,575. The auction, conducted through publicsurplus.com, closed Thursday. Of the properties purchased, 15 had competing bids resulting in sales above the original listing price.

Amended complaint filed against suspect in death of Courtney Fenske

Amended complaint filed against suspect in death of Courtney Fenske

On 6/10/21 an amended complaint was filed in 6th District court in Hibbing  charging Blake Stangel with 2nd Degree Murder in the death of Courtney Fenske. Stangel was taken into custody today after being release on bail for the previous charges. He is currently housed at the St. Louis County Jail in Virginia awaiting arraignment on the new charge.
