Public Health Nurses provide calm after the storm

When a severe storm blew over trees and knocked out power in parts of St. Louis County last month, teams of employees from many departments responded, including the Sheriff's Office, Public Works and the Assessor's Office. There was also a team of Public Health nurses. Here's a look at how they helped some of our County's most vulnerable citizens

When you think about personal health, it's easy to assume it's determined by genetics, access to health care, and making good food and exercise choices. But the growing reality is that differences in economic and social conditions play a concerning role.
