Starting a Borrow (Gravel) Pit
A borrow pit is a land use involving the excavation or digging of material for use as fill at another site. A permit is required whenever there is borrow material for sale. St. Louis County Ordinance 46 requires that certain standards must be followed. A copy of the borrow pit standards may be found by clicking on the tab below.
