County Board to host final listening session of the year on November 20
The St. Louis County Board will host its final listening session of the year next Tuesday, November 20, at 3:30 p.m. at the Mt. Iron Community Center, 8586 Enterprise Drive South in Mt. Iron.
Listening sessions have no specific agenda. Instead, they are an open public forum providing opportunity for comment and dialogue between commissioners and citizens on a variety of topics. This will be the fourth listening session offered by the Board as a way to give increased access to citizens who may not be able to attend the Board’s regular meetings during the day.
Because of the proximity to when the Board will adopt its final budget for 2013, which is scheduled to happen at its regularly scheduled meeting on December 11, the Board invites and encourages anyone with questions or comments about the budget to attend this listening session. The County Board also will hold a public meeting – specifically to receive comments on the proposed tax levy and operating budget – on Thursday, December 6, at 7 p.m. in the County Board Room on the second floor of the Duluth Courthouse.
For more information about the listening sessions or any other County Board matter, please call 218-726-2450 or visit stlouiscountymn.gov.
