St. Louis County Board recognizes recent retirees and long-time employees
Twenty-three employees, who collectively have served St. Louis County residents for 720 years, will be recognized Tuesday by the St. Louis County Board of Commissioners. An additional 34 recently retired employees also will be honored. The recognition event will take place at 9:30 a.m. just prior to the start of the Board’s regular meeting in the County Board Room on the second floor of the St. Louis County Courthouse in Duluth.
The show of appreciation is for the employees’ longevity with the county and commitment to customer service. Those being honored include people who retired within the last six months, as well as current employees who have recently celebrated 25, 30, 35 and even 40 years of service.
An additional 39 employees and recent retirees will be recognized at the November 27 County Board meeting, which will be held at Hibbing City Hall.
St. Louis County employs approximately 1,700 people to serve its more than 200,000 residents spread across 7,000 square miles. To learn more, visit stlouiscountymn.gov.
