St. Louis County Auditor’s Service Center moving to new Mall location
The St. Louis County Auditor’s Service Center at the Miller Hill Mall will be moving to a new location at the mall later this year. The Service Center, which currently is located on the east side of the mall facing Trinity Road, will move to the south side of the mall near JCPenney. A new entrance is being constructed, allowing customers to access the Service Center from outside the mall.
The move was necessary to make room for the arrival of Dick’s Sporting Goods. Simon Properties will expend significant resources to assist the Service Center’s relocation. An exact date for the move will be set later once construction for the new site is underway.
“We looked at numerous sites, both at and away from the mall, before making a final decision on the location,” said Donald Dicklich, St. Louis County Auditor. “We think the new location offers easy access and convenient parking for our customers. As an added benefit, the new site is slightly smaller than where we were, which means lower operating costs for us.”
The Service Center has 13 employees and handles approximately 92,000 transactions each year, including motor vehicle and driver’s license transactions, passport applications and tax payments, as well as transactions for the Department of Natural Resources. It has been at the mall since 2004.
