County Board “Listening Sessions” Scheduled for 2012
At the County Board’s organizational meeting held on January 3rd, newly elected Board Chair Commissioner Keith Nelson of Fayal Township, offered a new initiative to establish four “Listening Sessions” for 2012. He requested that a schedule be developed for these informational opportunities for commissioners to meet with county residents in various areas of the county, throughout the year, and at times that may be more convenient for public participation than would a normal County Board meeting held during the day.

Noting that citizen turnout was impressive at last year’s two evening County Board Workshops, Commissioner Nelson explained, “Listening Sessions will have no specific agendas, but rather, will be an open public forum providing opportunity for comment and dialogue between commissioners and citizens on any variety of topics.”

Below is the proposed schedule for the four “Listening Sessions” to be held in 2012 including dates, times, and locations.

Grand Lake Town Hall, 5297 Highway 53, Grand Lake Township
