Arrowhead Regional Corrections Appoints Kay Arola as New Executive Director
The Arrowhead Regional Corrections (ARC) Executive Board is pleased to report that following a rigorous search and candidate selection process, the ARC Board, during a special meeting, has appointed Kay Arola to the position of Executive Director of the organization.
The Executive Director position was vacated by Tom Roy when he was chosen by Governor Mark Dayton to hold the position of Commissioner of Corrections for the State of Minnesota.
A native of Chisholm, Minnesota, and a College of St. Scholastica graduate, Kay brings over 33 years of corrections experience with ARC to the position. She began her career at the Arrowhead Juvenile Center as a corrections counselor, became a probation officer, was promoted to a supervisory position, and for the last three years has been the Chief Probation Officer. Most recently, she served as the ARC Interim Executive Director. Kay's proven leadership will be an asset to the agency and to the staff.
